Swiss Spurs Supporters Club
The Swiss Spurs Supporters Club was originally brought to life on 24th September 2005 in Basel/BS, Switzerland.
The then newly formed committee (D. Graf, A. Leimer, P. Barber) met in a local Pub on 24th September 2005, prior to watching the TV game between Spurs and Fulham (which Spurs won 1:0), and the idea of forming a Swiss Spurs Supporters Club was discussed. It was soon brought to paper and the club was officially founded two days later, with the very first committee (foundation) meeting taking place in Bonstetten/ZH.
In July 2006 our application for “official” status was kindly granted by Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.
Our members come from all regions of Switzerland and are a healthy mix of English expats and Swiss nationals.
Some of us make regular trips to London to watch Spurs play at White Hart Lane. We are able to book home match tickets for our “Swiss Hotspur” members and we also organize at least one club trip to London each season.
